Hello! My name is Justin Stone, born & raised in Mobile, Alabama. My first experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones) was in 2021 when my dad was showing off his new DJI Mini 2. I was blown away by this incredible piece of technology & immediately wanted to discover more. Shortly thereafter, in early 2022, my previous employer (a local survey company) offered bonuses for becoming FAA Part 107 Certified Remote UAS pilots in order to complete photogrammetry orders, so I took it without hesitation and was immediately placed in charge of 3D mapping. For the next several months, I was sent on numerous mapping missions, covering ground in the Florida Panhandle, Central Alabama, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, sometimes requiring hotel stays for extended jobs. Like most things, that came to pass. I enjoyed my time in the air too much to let it go, I purchased my own drone (DJI Air 2s) and quickly found ways to earn money & learn valuable skills through 3rd-party contract services like Dronegenuity and FlyGuys, who paired me with local jobs of various scope & detail. I quickly signed up for as many drone service contractors as I could find; in no time I had a steady stream of monthly gigs. Around 2024, I discovered the exciting & immersive world of FPV (First Person View), and quickly purchased my first FPV drone; the DJI Avata. I quickly realized its potential and obtained my first Music Festival gig, shooting a combination of FPV and stable overhead video. With dynamic aerial photography & videography experience paired with 3+ years of professional working experience, I decided it was time to offer my own services; services I can be proud of & know with full confidence they will be of premium quality. Thank you for choosing StoneVue Imaging Services!

FPV (First Person View) Drones are often small, lightweight, nimble, and usually include built-in propeller guards, making them perfect for flying in tight spaces and capturing unique perspectives. Unlike professional imaging platforms like the DJI Air 2s, which has its sensor mounted to a 3-axis gimbal, FPV drones come with a fixed camera mounted to the front of the frame, which transmits video feed directly to a set of VR-style goggles worn by the pilot, essentially placing the pilot in the cockpit of the aircraft. My primary FPV drone is the CADDXFPV Gofilm 20. This drone is built on a 2" wheelbase and boasts a full 10-minutes of flight time (most FPV drones of this size only fly for abut 5 minutes). This drone features the Walksnail Moonlight HD FPV camera, which produces immaculate imagery.

The workhorse - the DJI Air 2s is among the most advanced professional imaging platforms available. This piece of equipment features an incredible 1-inch 20MP sensor, GPS locked position, 3-axis gimbal, obstacle avoidance, and boasts 30-minutes of flight time. I have flown hundreds, maybe thousands, of missions with this particular drone. Along with crisp aerials, I also use this drone as a hand-held camera for ground-level listing photos; its stabilized gimbal makes it the perfect all-in-one tool for professional Real Estate photography.
